Yum…

Because I am on a diet, standard dog treats are off the menu, so my new mum, Yours Truly Confused, consulted the Great Oracle (e.g. Google) to find out what I could munch without ruining my waistline.

Today I got a new type of treat.  It’s a crunchy, orange thing, that tastes kind of sweet, but I can chew it like a bone.

Nom, nom, nom…..

Couch #2

2012-10-28 00.48.08

Today I got possession of the couch in the living room. It is a much better fit and I am feeling really nice and snug.

I think I’m going to like it here.

Couch #1

2012-10-27 17.35.42

Exhausted after all the excitement earlier today, I dragged myself up onto the first couch I could see. This one is in the kitchen at Baskerville Manor and I’m afraid it is a bit of a tight fit.

Me in my forever home

I am so happy that Yours Truly Confused decided to bring me home.

Here’s a link to my Facebook album with the photographs she took of me today.

Today, my lovely foster mum, Julia, brought me to Dollymount. We met a nice lady with her two girl dogs on the beach, and we all walked and played for a while.

mintThen we all piled into Julia’s car and drove to a strange house. I learned that this house is Baskerville Manor.  There is a nice big garden with lots of interesting plants and round things on the ground.  Turns out they are windfall apples – yummy!

Once they had taken a look around, and saw that I was getting on well with Chloe and Izzy, Julia and her friend  said goodbye, drove away and left me there.  I was very confused and worried, and spend quite a long time waiting at the front door for Julia to come back to me.  Yours Truly Confused was very nice and gave me treats. She also allowed me to sit on top of her on the only couch. It was a bit of a squeeze!

Chloe and Izzy are very welcoming, and Yours Truly Confused has promised to get a bigger couch.  I think I’m going to like it here.

Still looking…

So, it turned out that the lovely Julia decided to foster me for a while and get me back to good health.  Here’s the next post about me on A Dog’s Life Facebook pShilohSept2012_thumb1age:  “Dogs Needing Homes, September 2012”

My name is Norman and I am a 7-8 year old Yellow Lab male. When I came into the pound I was VERY overweight and sad. I couldn't understand why I had been surrendered there. Thankfully A Dogs Life got me out and into foster where I am doing great. Thanks to my great foster mum I have lost LOADS of weight and I feel like a new dog. I can even run and jump and play now I still have some weight to lose so whoever adopts me would need to keep up with my regular exercise plan and diet dog food. I love my walks and I like to play with a ball so exercising me is easy.

I am a very affectionate boy and I love to be brushed. I am great with other dogs, all people and even cats. My ideal home would be where I would get lots of regular exercise and appropriate diet, where I would have a couch to spend my evenings on (I can share but only with dogs with small bums who fit beside me ;)), where I would have pals to hang out with and a large garden to potter around. I am neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Because I am over 7 years of age A Dogs Life are not looking for a rehoming fee for me, just the perfect forever home. If you think you can offer me the loving home I deserve please go to www.adogslife.ie check out rehoming conditions, download adoption form, will it out and email it back to enquiries@adogslife.ie
